Translator, Copywriter, Creative Team Leader, Translation Project Manager
My name is Shirin Moosavi, and I am the founder of Farsi Beyond Borders, my self-employed business, which was officially launched in September 2020.
I was born and raised in Tehran, Iran, where I completed my primary, secondary, and undergraduate education. I hold a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Tehran and later pursued a Master’s degree in Digital Transformation and Ethical AI Studies in France. During my studies, I took a three-year break from my professional work to focus on my academic pursuits. Upon completing my MA, I registered Farsi Beyond Borders in in France as well, marking the beginning of a new phase in my career.
I began my professional journey as a freelance translator and editor in 2004, working with clients across Farsi-speaking regions, including the US, Canada, and Australia. From December 2011 to September 2014, I worked as an In-house Translator for an Iranian telecommunications company. Following that, I spent two years as a Copywriter and Creative Team Member at an advertising agency from July 2014 to March 2016. Between August 2016 and December 2019, I advanced to the role of Senior Copywriter and Creative Team Leader, collaborating with international brands on various creative projects.
Since launching Farsi Beyond Borders in September 2020, I have focused on translation, handling projects on a global scale. I manage all aspects of the translation process, from ensuring linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance to maintaining quality and meeting client expectations worldwide.
